    Getting active doesn’t have to be complicated - it's all about taking that first step to find something you enjoy. Whether it’s jogging in the park, dipping in the sea or joining a team – there’s no pressure but no limits either.

    Taking the first step

    It might seem daunting to take the first step to becoming more active, so why not start small and find something you’re interested in locally? You could even encourage a friend or colleague to take the leap with you or be brave and go solo.

    Physical activity and sports are great places to meet new people, with plenty of people joining alone too, so you’ll not be the only one if you do choose to take the first step on your own.

    You might want to try your hand at a few different types of activities to really find what you love. There is a wide variety of sports and physical activities available across Northern Ireland you can try out with no obligation to carry on if it’s not your cup of tea.
