It is increasing the timeframes for landlords to comply with the initial requirements of an approved scheme which include registering with a scheme administrator and protecting the tenant’s deposit from 14 days to 28 days. It further extends the time a landlord has to provide the required information to the tenant from 28 days to 35 days.
