Promotion of Lawfulness – Shantallow Community Residents Association (SCRA) Ballyarnett Community Safety & Development Programme

As part of the Department’s work to implement Fresh Start policy the DfC Fresh Start team is working with Shantallow Community Residents Association (SCRA), to deliver a programme which aims to reduce antisocial behaviour, violence, crime and lawlessness associated with the Galliagh Bonfire, whilst working to engage the most vulnerable young people in danger of becoming involved or at risk of being targeted by paramilitary activity or criminality. The project intentions are to contribute to bringing about positive change into the lives of participants.
