    • Social housing reform programme

    Date published: 9 March 2016

In July 2014 the Department and Northern Ireland Housing Executive jointly procured an ‘Asset Commission’ – a large scale consultancy exercise, to examine the condition, performance and management of the NIHE’s property.

The Asset Commission was procured to serve broadly two purposes; to provide a robust evidence base:
    (a) to inform the Social Housing Reform Programme’s appraisal of options for structural reform in social housing delivery; and
    (b) to inform the activity of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive in respect of the management of the public housing portfolio

The reports from the Asset Commission are listed below.

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive response to the Asset Commission findings is available on the NIHE website.
