The policy approach will provide HRS annual core grant funding over the next three years (2025 - 2028).
The policy aims to:
- Assist Northern Ireland (NI) citizens to explore options to housing problems, for example, the prevention of homelessness, accessing accommodation, housing affordability issues, and housing conditions.
- Provide information, advice, advocacy and negotiation, including representation, as required.
- Gather and use evidence to identify prevalent or emerging housing issues – to support improvements in housing legislation, policy and practice.
- Core funding supports HRS in accessing/leveraging funding from other sources (public and private). This enables HRS to deliver additional housing programmes and projects.
