Statistics on experience of volunteering: findings from the 2024/25 Continuous Household Survey.
The bulletin presents analysis, including by demographic group and area, on the following topics:
- engagement in volunteering including both formal and informal volunteering
- types of organisations volunteered with
- types of volunteering activities
- frequency and time spent volunteering
- benefits experienced as a result of volunteering
- reasons for not volunteering
Note: In 2023/24 questions relating to volunteering were reviewed to improve collection of data relating to informal volunteering. As a result of these changes, and of changes to the data collection methodology, figures for 2023/24 and 2024/25 are not directly comparable to previous years.
