    On 8 July 2024, the department published a child maintenance consultation document: Accelerating Enforcement, that sought views on the proposed introduction of administrative liability orders and the procedure for dealing with the appeals process.

    The public consultation was open for 12 weeks from 8 July until 29 September 2024. This response to the consultation presents the main points made by respondents in further detail and provides an overview of next steps
