The Department for Communities wishes to invite applications for the appointment of Members to the Board of the National Museums Northern Ireland.
National Museums NI is responsible for four distinctive and inspiring museums in Northern Ireland. Together, they serve as leading cultural, educational and tourism destinations, while caring for an extraordinary collection of 1.4 million objects spanning art, history and the natural sciences.
As a Board Member you will have an excellent opportunity to contribute to the strategic leadership, governance and development of one of Northern Ireland’s most important cultural organisations.
Applications are welcome from a wide range of people who have an interest in public service, including those who are looking for an opportunity to use their skills and experience. We are seeking new Board Members with passion, commitment, and a desire to help shape the future of our museums.
We would particularly welcome applications from women, people with a disability, young people, and people from minority ethnic groups for these positions. A Guaranteed Interview Scheme is in place for those applicants with a disability.
