Suspended sentence for benefit fraud at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court

A man has been convicted at Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court for fraudulently claiming over £4,000 in benefits.
Gary Hutchinson (37), of Loane Drive, Moneynoe Glebe, Enniskillen, claimed Universal Credit totalling £4,441.35 whilst failing to declare capital. He was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment suspended for one year. The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
Mr Hutchinson is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongly obtained to the Department.
