Definition of Affordable Housing – further stakeholder engagement briefing paperIt was envisaged that a revised overarching definition would provide a framework for the development of a broader range of intermediate products while maintaining the established meaning of social rented housing, which may assist in improving the delivery of appropriate housing and increase suitable housing supply to meet objective need and demand.
The Definition of Affordable Housing consultation closed in September 2019. The Department has considered consultee responses and, as a result of this analysis, made minor amendments to the proposals set out in the initial consultation.
