Partnership Agreement between Government and the Voluntary and Community Sector in Northern Ireland
The Joint Forum between Government and the Voluntary and Community Sector, (VCS) has developed a Partnership Agreement between Government and the VCS. This was endorsed by NI Executive on 5 June 2025.
The Partnership Agreement
The Partnership Agreement builds on the foundations of the 2011 Concordat between the Voluntary & Community Sector and the Northern Ireland Government outlining a renewed shared vision, reflective of the evolving needs of today’s society.
The Partnership Agreement will support the aims of the “Doing What Matters Most – Programme for Government 2024-2027” in its recognition of the value of joint working across departments, statutory agencies and voluntary and community organisations and is underpinned by shared core values, ways of working and a set of Fair Funding Principles, designed to support and promote good practice in funding relationships between the public sector and voluntary and community partners.
