Northern Ireland Local Government Officers’ Superannuation Committee
The purpose of the Northern Ireland Local Government Officers’ Superannuation Committee (NILGOSC) is to administer the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) in Northern Ireland.
In June 2020 the Executive agreed to proceed with the New Decade New Approach (NDNA) commitment to review Arm’s Length Bodies (ALB’s).
The objective of the independent NDNA Review was to ensure that the legal form, NILGOSC governance arrangements and the Department’s ‘Responsible Authority’ governance and oversight arrangements are fit for purpose, operating effectively, aligned with the needs of stakeholders, and focussed on a clear and comprehensive shared understanding of the key areas of risk which impact on the scheme.
