    The Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) is a means tested grant that is administered by Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE). The purpose of the DFG is to support persons living with disabilities where they require major adaptations to be carried out to their homes to ensure both their safety and that they can maintain their independence. The Department for Communities in partnership with colleagues in Department of Health and NIHE has begun a review into the operation of the DFG.
