Village Catalyst grant scheme
Date published:
The Village Catalyst programme is jointly funded by the Department for Communities, the Department for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, in partnership with the Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF).
The programme is designed to help meet the objectives of DAERA’s Tackling Rural Poverty & Social Isolation (TRPSI) Framework Tackling Rural Poverty & Social Isolation – A New Framework, and find long-term community-led solutions for historic buildings at risk, particularly those included in Northern Ireland's Heritage at Risk register.
Three levels of support are available: up to £10k Viability Funding to test ideas and assess the condition of the building; up to £20k Development Funding towards progressing those ideas from concept to detailed design up to the point where the scheme is ready to start on site; and up to £240k Capital Works Funding to help with the cost of building works.
