    The purpose of this instrument is to amend regulations to ensure that payments made by schemes which provide compensation for historical institutional child abuse in the United Kingdom do not affect recipients’ entitlements to means-tested social security benefits.The instrument also makes amendments to ensure payments made under the Home Office’s Windrush Compensation Scheme do not affect recipients’ entitlements to means-tested benefits.
