    Date published: 16 November 2023

These Regulations are purely technical in nature and will make a minor amendment to the Social Fund Maternity and Funeral Expenses Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005. In 2018, our legislative counterparts in GB had to make a slight amendment to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008 (“the 2008 Act”), and subsequently to their Social Fund Maternity and Funeral Expenses (General) Regulations 2005, to reflect the insertion of the new section 54A into the 2008 Act, which allowed for sole applicants, as well as couples, to apply for a parental order.

    Exisiting/Revised/New: Revised
    Date of Screening: 16/11/2023
