Review of Welfare Mitigation Schemes

As part of the Fresh Start Agreement the Executive allocated £585 million to ‘top-up’ the UK welfare arrangements in Northern Ireland until March 2020. The Department for Communities has completed a review of the delivery of the welfare mitigations schemes and prepared a report of the outcomes.
The Department for Communities will be hosting information sessions for representatives from the voluntary and community sector. This will provide the opportunity to learn about the Department’s review of the welfare mitigation schemes and to provide feedback. These sessions will be held during May 2019 and further details, including how to register, will be provided on the website / issued to stakeholders in early April.
