Review of the Historic Buildings Council and the Historic Monuments Council

The Historic Buildings Council (HBC) and the Historic Monuments Council (HMC) are Statutory Advisory Councils to the Department for Communities. In line with best practice for public bodies, a review of the Councils was carried out to ensure that they continue to be the best way to deliver the services for which they are responsible, and to consider how the delivery of these services can be improved.
