The new policy for public libraries will replace the current policy, entitled Delivering Tomorrow’s Libraries, published by DCAL around 2006.
The new policy will set out broad aims for the public library service delivered by Libraries NI. The policy aims will necessarily reflect and will not run contrary to the legislative duty as set out in the Libraries Act (2008) NI.
