This privacy notice from the Department for Communities (DfC) tells our customers and service users how we process your personal data in accordance with our legal obligations under the Data Protection Act (DPA) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UKGDPR).
The Financial Guidance and Claims Bill Act 2018 Act transferred responsibility for provision of debt advice services in Northern Ireland to the Department from 1 January 2019. The Department was therefore responsible for putting a free independent Northern Ireland debt advice services in place from 1 April 2019. It is the Departments responsibility to ensure funding from the levy on the financial services sector is used to provide this free service.
