Northern Ireland Refugee Resettlement Schemes (NIRRS) - screening

The policy intention is to extend the Department’s current operational activity and support for refugees beyond participation in the Syrian Vulnerable Person Relocation Scheme (SVPRS) to include participation in the UK Government’s Afghan refugee resettlement schemes – the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy (ARAP) and the Afghan Citizens Relocation Scheme (ACRS). Together the SVPRS, ARAP and ACRS are known as the Northern Ireland Refugee Resettlement Schemes (NIRRS).
