The North West Regeneration Fund is a pilot programme which will provide £10 million Financial Transactions Capital (FTC) to regenerate heritage properties within the Historic Walled City Conservation area of Derry~Londonderry. If successful, the programme may be rolled out to other areas.

The programme was established following the consideration of the potential to use public capital to enable and unlock regeneration projects in the North West on a commercial basis. The Strategic Outline Case indicated that a significant pipeline of regeneration projects exists in Derry~Londonderry. However, due to market failure / inertia and a lack of underlying commercial viability, private finance may not be available / willing to fund this pipeline.
