In line with the ‘New Decade New Approach’ commitment Deirdre Hargey, Minister for Communities commenced development work on the Irish Language Strategy with the establishment of an Expert Advisory Panel.
The Expert Advisory Panel brought together a group of representatives from across academia and the Irish language sector. The Panel was tasked with preparing a report setting out recommendations to Minister Hargey about the themes and key actions a new Irish Language Strategy should include.
These recommendations have now been published as a report alongside a ‘Call for Views’ consultation.
