    This paper examines the destination of leavers from Steps to Work using DEL data, Department for Social Development (DSD) benefits data and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) employment data.

    This paper examines the destination of leavers from Steps to Work using DEL data, Department for Social Development (DSD) benefits data and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) employment data. Comparisons are made with the destination statistics previously published, which were based solely on data from DEL’s Client Management System (CMS). The Steps to Work destination statistics for Northern Ireland are also compared with those for New Deal in Great Britain.
