Employment Support Programme - screening

The Employment Support Programme, which was available in Northern Ireland since 1981, offered opportunities to people with a disability who, although capable of meaningful employment, were unable to obtain unsubsidised jobs due to the severity of their disability. The programme also offered existing employees who became disabled or whose disability caused them greater difficulty, the opportunity to retain their job.
