Discretionary Support (Amendment No. 2) (Covid-19) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 screening

The current Discretionary Support Scheme is available to anyone in Northern Ireland who is at least 18 years old; or a minimum of 16 years old in the case of a young person who is without parental support. The claimant’s income, or the claimant’s partner’s income, less disregards, must not exceed the annual income threshold currently £17,076.80 per annum. The income threshold is due to increase to £18,137 from 1 April 2020, the amendment will increase it further to £20,405.
