    The purpose of this policy is to amend the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 (the 2008 Act) to implement 18 recommendations from the Independent Review of Charity Regulation in Northern Ireland which require primary legislation. These recommendations will offer easements in reporting for smaller charities and will offer additional protections to charities and their assets.
