    The Department for Communities has launched a competition to appoint new Members to the Board of the Arts Council NI. The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Monday 28 April 2025.

    The Arts Council is the lead development agency for the arts in Northern Ireland, with a vision of having a society where all people can experience a thriving arts sector that is recognised as essential to creativity, well-being and social and economic prosperity.

    The opportunity to become an Arts Council Board Member provide individuals with an excellent opportunity to contribute to its leadership, direction and oversight. The Board also plays a critical role in both developing and improving the knowledge and appreciation of the arts.

    Individuals with the relevant enthusiasm, knowledge and talent, from any background, are encouraged to apply.
