  • People urged to stay safe as freezing temperatures forecast

    Topics:
    • Help

    Date published: 29 January 2025

People are being urged to stay safe and check on vulnerable neighbours, with sub-zero temperatures forecast across Northern Ireland overnight.

As work continues to restore services following Storm Éowyn, the sources of support and assistance are once again being highlighted.

    These include:

    • Community Assistance Centres
    • Make the Call:  0800 232 1271
    • The  nidirect website
    • The NIHE emergency line

Local community and voluntary organisations have played an invaluable role in helping those in need during the ongoing disruption. We would encourage people to continue to look out for their neighbours during the cold spell, and seek assistance if it is required.
