The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) has just launched its own Facebook page providing the latest information on what is happening at PRONI and to let people know how they can book for forthcoming events.

The new page has been an immediate success, attracting over 1,000 likes and followers in the first week. If you are on Facebook you can find us at www.facebook.com/publicrecordofficeni

PRONI is the official place of deposit for public and private records in Northern Ireland. It currently retains over 3 million records and is the main venue for researching family and local history or for discovering the economic, social and political history of Northern Ireland.

It also hosts regular exhibitions that cover major events and explore themes such as governance, leisure, economy and society.
