The GSI (Government Secure Intranet) network is being phased out across government. As part of this change, ‘.gsi’ will be removed from Department for Communities (DfC) email addresses from 28 March 2019.
I use email to contact DfC - what do I need to do?
From 28 March 2019 if you use any email addresses that include the following domain names, you will need to change them.
Email domains that will be removed are;
- @nissa.gsi.gov.uk
- @cms.gsi.gov.uk
The new address replacing these is ...@dfcni.gov.uk
The new addresses will be active from 28 March 2019 but up until then you may still receive emails from the Department's ‘.gsi’ email addresses.
We ask that all customers and stakeholders update any records that contain our old email addresses from 28 March 2019. These may include directories, web applications or forms.
Email addresses including ...@communities-ni.gov.uk are not affected.
What if you don’t make the change?
Any messages sent to one of the GSI email domains listed above will receive an auto-response to advise you of this change. However, your email will also be automatically redirected to the new address. You will not have to resend it.
