    The Department for Communities (DfC) is seeking two Non-Executive Members to join its Management Board.

    The Department works to deliver thriving places across Northern Ireland by protecting, supporting, and enabling people to live well. It is directly responsible for providing a range of public services, through £11.5 billion of public investment across housing, regeneration, culture, arts, leisure, and social welfare.

    Non-Executive Members play a significant role in providing advice and oversight, supporting good governance, and contributing to the Department’s strategic direction.

    Applications are welcome from across the community, voluntary, business, and public sectors. Applications are particularly encouraged from women, people with a disability, people from minority ethnic groups and young people.

    Notes to editors:

    1. This competition is to appoint two new Non-Executive Members to the DfC Management Board. It is anticipated that the appointments will take effect from 5 October 2026 and will be for an initial period of up to three years.
    2. The fee payable for these roles is £500 per day, or equivalent, plus expenses. All remuneration and expenses are subject to the deduction of income tax and national insurance. The time commitment is typically 20 to 25 days annually. Travel and subsistence expenses are payable at NICS rates.
