    The Department for Communities has launched a competition to appoint Members and Expert Advisors to the Ministerial Advisory Group (MAG) and the Built Environment NI.

    The MAG advises on the implementation and development of the Architecture and Built Environment Policy for Northern Ireland. It has a clear vision and consists of individuals who have the expertise and ambition to improve placemaking and stewardship in the built environment.

    It is ably assisted by expert advisors who have a range of specialist skills and who can be called-upon to assist the MAG in areas such as placemaking, urban design, heritage and sustainability, as well as advising on MAG specific initiatives.

     

    Those with the relevant enthusiasm, knowledge and experience, from any background, are encouraged to apply either as a Member or an Expert Advisor. Further detail on the work of the Ministerial Advisory Group is available.

Section 5 of the Candidate Information Booklet provides further detail if you work in the public sector.

    The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Monday 9 October 2023.
