About Tirnony Dolmen

This fine portal tomb stands on the margins of the higher land, lower than the court tombs to the north. It faces north east and the huge, sloping capstone is supported on two tall portal stones, four side stones and an end stone. The stone on the right of the entrance hints at the start of a court in the court tomb tradition. Tirkane Sweat House, also in State Care, is 1 mile (1.6km) to the north-west.
