    About Lisnavaragh Fort

This impressive oval enclosure has three surrounding banks and two ditches (the outermost ditch is probably filled in). The original entrance through the substantial banks and ditches is from the south-east. An excavation carried out in 1951 revealed the stump of a massive gatepost at the entrance.
