    About Drumgormal Bivallate Rath

This is a fine rath on a prominent hilltop, with extensive views in all directions. It was planted with trees as a landscape feature in the former estate of Drumcairne House. There is a low bank around the circular central area, which slopes slightly to the south. Next comes a deep ditch, then a second bank and an outer ditch, best preserved on the south side. The rath is approached from the north-east, but unfortunately public access is not presently secured.
