Summary

The Pensions Act 2014 requires the government to review the State pension age during each Parliament. The State Pension Age Independent Review is gathering evidence and will consider a broad range of factors before making recommendations to the government in 2017.

The review team has published an Interim Report which is also available at the .gov website.  

The Interim Report poses a series of questions which it is hoped will stimulate wider discussion. The review team welcomes any research, insights or supporting evidence.
