The Bill seeks to encourage greater risk sharing in private pension arrangements and allow for new types of pension arrangementsIt is anticipated that the proposed Bill will:
- introduce new definitions to the legislative framework for private pensions based on the type of promise that pension schemes provide for members during the accumulation phase
- include measures to enable the provision of collective benefits
- make amendments to existing pensions legislation
