    Consultation description

This public consultation document seeks comments on proposed changes to the Department’s domestic energy efficiency improvement programme for vulnerable households which is presently delivered through the warm
    homes scheme.

It is proposed that with the new scheme the Department will improve domestic energy efficiency and, therefore, reduce energy consumption in eligible private housing by targeting households most at risk of fuel poverty. The Department intends to introduce the affordable warmth scheme in June 2014.
