Energy payment provided for grassroots organisations impacted by soaring costs
The rising costs of gas, oil and electricity have been highlighted by many Voluntary and Community organisations as a major issue which may negatively impact on the vital services which they deliver on behalf of the Department to those most in need within our communities.
Energy payment
To help with these costs, a £1,500 energy payment has been made to 170 Voluntary and Community funded organisations which deliver key services to communities across Northern Ireland.
Some organisations benefitting from the one-off payment include groups working with the elderly, homeless, children, women and those which provide advice, employment, wellbeing, education and support services.
