Mapping the library service in Northern Ireland 2014

Date published: 03 July 2014

The aim of the project was to examine the location of static libraries and mobile library stops in Northern Ireland following the review of Delivering Tomorrow’s Libraries (DTL) and the development and implementation of a new mobile library strategy.

Details

The research aimed to calculate the number of households living within two miles of a library or mobile library stop and map the new library service against deprivation, neighbourhood renewal areas (NRAs) and urban/rural areas.  This project was a collaborative research project between the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL) and Libraries NI.
