This is a large rath, perhaps originally bivallate, but now with a single bank to the north, upslope, and a bank, ditch and outer bank to the south, downslope. The interior is much disturbed by cultivation and the Ordnance Survey Memoir reports that a former tenant levelled and carried away much of the fort for manure. An underground structure described as a drain may be a souterrain, though its size is not clear.
