The Department is seeking views from consultees on the proposed amendments to existing legislation set out in the draft Local Government (Consequential Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018 (the draft Regulations).
The draft Regulations are technical in nature and propose to make incidental, consequential, transitional or supplemental provision to the following:
- the Drainage (Northern Ireland) Order 1973
- the Local Government (Northern Ireland) Order 2005
- the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (Northern Ireland) 2010
- the Local Government Finance Act (Northern Ireland) 2011
- the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011
- the Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 2014
- the Local Government (Transitional, Incidental, Consequential and Supplemental Provisions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015
- certain harbour orders
- certain harbour area orders
- certain airport (control over land) orders
- the Warrenpoint Harbour Authority Order (Northern Ireland) 2002
- the Donaghadee Harbour (Transfer of Harbour Undertaking) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015
- the River Bann Navigation Order (Northern Ireland) 2002
- the Local Government (Employment of Group Building Control Staff) Order (Northern Ireland) 1994;
- the Local Government (Employment of Group Environmental Health Staff) Order (Northern Ireland) 1994; and
- the Local Government (Statutory Transition Committees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2013.
