Consultation description

The ‘Strategy to Improve the Lives of People with Disabilities 2012 – 2015’ was launched in early 2013. The strategy document contains a commitment to monitor and evaluate the strategy in accordance with Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The Strategy contains eighteen key priorities which were agreed following public consultation in summer 2012. Since the launch of the Strategy, we have been working to create indicators that will be used to measure if progress is being made against those eighteen priorities. We have drawn together an interim list of draft indicators and these are shown in Annex 1.

There are also some gaps in the draft indicators where we could not find suitable data. We are interested to hear if you have any suggestions on how to fill these gaps. Please bear in mind any data should be available annually, be reliable and relevant.
