Summary

Consequent to the Secretary of State's Budget, the Department for Communities has proposed changes to the Discretionary Support Policy for 2023-24. This document details changes to Discretionary Support Policy that should ensure the Department has the capability to support those most in need for the duration of the 2023-24 financial year.

Consultation description

The Department welcomes comment on any aspects of this document. Interested parties are encouraged to make responses by 11 August 2023, which will be used to inform the Department's changes to Discretionary Support Policy. Any further consultation responses received between 12 August 2023 to 25 September 2023 will be used to inform further Policy changes in order to sustain financial support throughout the 2023-24 financial year.

Comments on the changes to the Discretionary Support Scheme 2023-24 can be submitted via online survey, by email or by post.
