    Consultation description

Today there are almost 850 million people aged over 60 worldwide. Evidence shows that the population of this age group is projected to increase to over two billion by 2050. Our population locally is following this global trend. The number of adults aged 65 and over is projected to increase by 12.2%, from 272,800 to 306,000, between 2012 and 2017, and by 63.5% (to 445,900) between 2012 and 2032.
