Universal Credit is a new payment to help support households that are out of work or are on a low income. Universal Credit was introduced in Northern Ireland on a phased geographical basis from 27 September 2017.
Data Revision 04 June 2020
Subsequent to publication on 27 May 2020, an issue with missing data was discovered, leading to not all sanction reasons being reported. This impacted table 6c of accompanying UC Supplementary Tables document. The problem was resolved and this revision published on 04 June 2020 includes the correction for table 6c.
