DfC Access and Inclusion Programme - screening

Date published: 21 July 2020

The Department for Communities developed the Access and Inclusion programme in 2018/19 with the aim of providing funding targeted at improving accessibility to arts and cultural venues across Northern Ireland for people with disabilities. The programme has been delivered successfully since and was last year broadened in scope to include active recreation venues, defined as those locations which include public walkways, cycle paths, forest trails, children’s playparks and similar outdoor recreation sites. Following interest from a number of museums, the Department is now exploring how projects in these venues could be promoted and managed
