The NI Executive has amended the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 to reopen the housing market and allow activities relating to house moves to take place. Please note the change in regulations and guidance will take effect from 15 June 2020.

The Department has produced a guidance document that provides public health information to ensure that the re-opening of the housing market and key activities around this, such as viewing property, can happen safely. The guidance provides general information that can be applied to the entire property market and process of moving home i.e. home selling, purchasing, letting, renting, moving and re-mortgaging as well as advice that is more sector specific. Where applicable, links to other relevant guidance are also provided.

The guidance will be kept under review and updated as required.
