A man and a woman were convicted at Antrim Magistrates’ Court today for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
Helen Brown (60) of Cairn Gardens, Crumlin claimed Jobseeker’s Allowance totalling £1,114 while failing to declare employment. She was sentenced to three months imprisonment suspended for two years
Brian Quigley (48) of Craighill, Antrim claimed Jobseeker’s Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £2,832 while failing to declare employment. He was sentenced to three months imprisonment suspended for two years
Any outstanding money wrongfully obtained has to be repaid to the Department.
